200th Anniversary of Finnish Autonomy
The inner part of the coin depicts the profile of the Porvoo Cathedral, which was the site of opening of the first Diet of Finland. The date 1809 appears on the top, and the year mark is on the right side. The indication of the issuing country FI and the mint mark are on the left side. The twelve stars of the European Union surround the design on the outer ring of the coin.
*Porvoo is a city and a municipality situated on the southern coast of Finland approximately 50 kilometres east of Helsinki. Is one of the six medieval towns in Finland.
